The two have never been close friends but can be described as acquaintances. Tonto has never openly flaunted her hair as much as others.                             TONTO DIKEH This self-proclaimed hair boss, who was dragged on social media for selling fake hair to many people some time ago, made one of the former Big Brother Housemates her brand ambassador. Nigerian Man Caught Withdrawing Money From ATM Without Debit Card

Ibadan – A young man, Azeez Morufu, was on Tuesday allegedly caught withdrawing money from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) belonging to one of the new generation banks located at Oba Adebimpe Road, Dugbe, Ibadan, without using a debit card. A passer-by was amazed seeing the ATM dispensing huge amount of money to Azeez without a debit card at the ATM point located beside the Ibadan national station of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). Man dies three weeks after wining $1million jackpot

Image
A New York man, Donald Savastano who won the Merry Millionaire scratch off lottery for $1million, earlier this month, has died suddenly. The lottery ticket winner was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and died suddenly on Friday. The deceased had claimed his ticket on January 4 after buying the $10 scratch off on a whim. Savastano claimed the lump sum payment of $661,800. His death came less than a month after he became a millionaire after picking a winning New York Lottery scratchcard at a shop in his home town of Sidney, a small community around 170 miles north of New York City. He told the WBNG-TV news channel that he was planning to “buy a new truck, pay off some debt and invest for the future,” with his winnings. He added: “This is going to change our lives to tell you the truth”. ‘Being a self-employed carpenter, I didn’t really have a plan for retirement,’ the 51-year-old self-employed carpenter explained to WBNG-TV at the time. ‘The money w

Girl talk: Ladies its time to celebrate our men

Image
Earlier this month as we celebrated the International Women’s Day, I was touched by the number of men who stood up to celebrate women. There was clearly so much love in the air, it could be felt even by those who hadn’t received personalised wishes. Then I remembered the bitterness that fills the air whenever men are supposed to be celebrated. Unlike women, men have a way of embracing their targets and ensuring they are met. They rarely get derailed. On this day, I appreciated the fact that they took their eyes off their goals for a moment so they could fix them on us. Men, you deserve a round of applause for celebrating women. I know there were definitely a few elements here and there that represented the proverbial pain in the ass (in particular, men who tried to pull women down on this special day) but, trust me, the momentary attention was refreshing, even though it felt like a drop in the ocean to some women. Anyway, I was talking about the few occasions when

Student made to remove bra over exam cheat fears

Image
An Indian student said on Monday she was made to remove her bra in public by school authorities over exam cheating fears, minutes before sitting a crucial test. Authorities issue strict dress codes to tackle widespread cheating on the entrance test for India’s prestigious medical colleges.  ADVERTISING But there is no mention of bras on this year’s prohibited articles list which includes dark clothes, long sleeves, brooches, badges, closed shoes and socks. The student, who has not been identified, told media she was at the test centre in Kerala state on Sunday when a metal detector started to beep during a security check. “At that time, they told that without removing my innerwear I cannot enter the exam hall since they (bra hooks) are made of metal. So, I took off my bra there itself and gave it to my mom, she was waiting outside,” the student told NDTV news network. The girl was quoted in The Times of India as saying that she lost all her “confidence and composure when I was a

Image
1:12 PMIN NEWSCOMMENTS Vatican City                          Pope Francis – Pope Francis, addressing an array of scandals, on Tuesday said the Roman Catholic Church had to acknowledge a history of male domination and sexual abuse of women and children. The 82-year-old pontiff noted that the church has to repair its reputation among young people or risk becoming “a museum”. Pope Francis He, in a major document offering a partial admission of significant failings by clergy, also said that the church could not agree with everything some feminist groups propose. According to him, it is a clear reference to the Church’s ban on a female priesthood. The pope is grappling with criticism over the Church’s response to a decades-long sexual abuse crisis that has gravely damaged its standing around the globe and seen it pay out billions of dollars in compensation. Francis made his comment in a 50-page “Apostolic Exhortation,” his reflections on the workings of a month-long meeting of bish
